Take Triangle Kush, the Florida cut that sits at the root of the OG family and has fathered more of the modern index than almost anything else, and put it over T-1000, Red Beard's pick out of Old Family Purple, and the first CSI Humboldt / CSI Portland release. That is 5150 Triangle Kush x T-1000. Humboldt CSI work almost entirely from clones they hold themselves, so both sides of this are the real thing rather than a seed-line approximation of it.

Order matters in a cross name. In 5150 Triangle Kush x T-1000 the Triangle Kush side supplied the seed and T-1000 the pollen, and the reciprocal - the same two plants the other way round - is a separate breeding decision with its own results.

• The Aroma. Classic OG earth and pine, noticeably restrained rather than loud from the Triangle Kush side, against juicy grape and sweet cream over pine needles and skunky diesel, with musky earth and a touch of spice from the T-1000 side.
