Air Force One is two of the same man's picks crossed together. Red Beard of Tigard Farms found Obama Kush in 2007 growing out Humboldt CSI's Mendocino Purple Kush seed, and later selected T-1000 out of their Old Family Purple. Putting them together makes this a joint release between CSI Humboldt and CSI Portland, and a cross where both halves came from the same eye.

Genetic Lineage

• Mother: Obama Kush. Red Beard's award-winning selection of Mendocino Purple Kush. CSI made that cross in 2006 by reversing the original Bubba Kush clone onto the Mendocino Purple clone; in 2007 Red Beard sprouted a handful of the seeds and kept two, naming them Obama Kush and George W. Kush. The Obama cut spread through the Pacific Northwest and stayed there. Behind it sit Bubba Kush and Mendocino Purple.
• Father: T-1000. The same selector's pick out of Old Family Purple, which is Triangle Kush crossed to Purple Urkle. Indica-leaning at roughly seventy-thirty, medium height, stacking dense spear-shaped resinous colas, with juicy grape and sweet cream over pine and skunky diesel.
• Purple on both sides. Mendocino Purple behind one parent and Purple Urkle behind the other, two different California purple lines meeting through two different routes.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

• The Aroma. Juicy grape and sweet cream from the T-1000 side, with pine and a skunky diesel edge behind it, sitting over the roasted coffee and cocoa that Bubba Kush puts into the Obama side.
• The Taste. Grape and cream on the inhale turning spiced and hashy through the middle, finishing earthy rather than sweet.

Cultivation and Growth Traits

• Plant Structure. Compact from both directions: T-1000 is medium and tidy and the Bubba behind Obama Kush is short and stocky. This is one of the easier crosses in the catalogue to plan a small room around.
• Vegetative Phase and Stretch. Modest. Neither parent is a stretcher, so headroom is not the problem here that it is on the Chem and Diesel lines.
• Bud Appearance. Dense spear-shaped colas under heavy resin from T-1000, with thick calyces from the Bubba side, and colour arriving late from both purple lines.
• Flowering Time. The parents line up well: Obama Kush at eight to ten weeks and T-1000 at roughly fifty-six to seventy days, with week nine the usual mark. Nine weeks is a sound plan.
• Airflow. Dense flower from both sides. Keep air moving through the back half of bloom.

Effects and Experience

• The Mind. Growers describe T-1000 as calm rather than busy, and nothing on the Obama side pulls against that.
• The Body. Both parents sit at the heavy, settling end. This is an evening plant from either direction it leans.
