There are two very different things inside Banana Og x 88g13/hp. Banana OG: OG Kush crossed to Banana Kush. And 88g13 Hash Plant, a G13 and Hash Plant male with an unusually well-documented provenance. Bodhi's whole method is the choice of father. A male gets tested across many mothers before it earns a name, and what it does to each one is the actual product.

Written this way, Banana OG is the mother and 88g13 Hash Plant the pollen donor. Reversing a cross is not a formality; which plant carries the seed shapes what comes out of the pack.

Genetic Lineage

• Mother: Banana OG. Banana OG - OG Kush softened with Banana Kush. Built from OG Kush x Banana Kush. The two halves do opposite jobs - OG Kush brings the pine and the gas, Banana Kush brings cream and tropical fruit, and the plant reads as one or the other depending how far into the jar you are.
• Father: 88g13 Hash Plant. 88g13 Hash Plant - NDNguy's line off Neville's stock, and one of Bodhi's most-used fathers. Given as G13 crossed to a Hash Plant and Northern Lights #1 line. It was bred by NDNguy from stock Neville Schoenmaker gave him, which is most of why it carries the reputation it does.
• What to expect across a pack. Two distinct parents means real variation in frame, finish and nose. Select early and take cuttings off anything you would want again.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

Neither parent is subtle, and the cross has nowhere quiet to go.

• The Aroma. Overripe banana at first, turning piney as the flower is broken up from the Banana OG side, against old hash-plant funk with a burnt edge on it from the 88g13 Hash Plant side.
• The Taste. Tropical sweetness over an OG base up front, turning to thick and hashy, with the mother's flavour still readable underneath through the exhale.

The two halves, side by side

• Timing splits the pack. One parent wants eight to ten weeks, the other quick, on many of its offspring - it is one of the reasons the male gets used. Expect the fast plants down well before the slow ones are ready.
• The smell is a negotiation. Overripe banana at first, turning piney as the flower is broken up on one side against burnt rubber, skunk and hash - loud, but it does not bury what the mother brings on the other. Neither wins outright in every seedling.
• Opposite ends. Banana OG is reported as OG weight with the edges softened by the Banana side; myrcene, limonene and caryophyllene lead its profile; 88g13 Hash Plant as the resin and the weight the hash-plant family is kept for. The cross sits somewhere between and moves plant to plant.

Cultivation and Growth Traits

• Plant Structure. It puts branch strength into its offspring, and many of its crosses finish quickly. Bodhi advise a longer veg with it.
• Vegetative Phase and Training. Open the middle out early. Light reaching the lower sites is worth more than any late correction.
• Flowering Time. The parents are not on the same clock. Banana OG runs eight to ten weeks, 88g13 Hash Plant quick, on many of its offspring - it is one of the reasons the male gets used. Judge each plant on trichomes rather than pulling the room together.
