Blue Lime Pie (Key Lime Pie x Blue Power) regular puts Key Lime Pie over Blue Power. One is Key Lime Pie - Cookies selected towards lime; the other is Sin City's flagship, and the male behind most of what they have released since. Two very different plants, and the point of the cross is what sits between them. One side of this is a plant Sin City have tested to exhaustion; the other is what they wanted to see it do. That is how the whole catalogue is built.

This is the regular version. Males come with it, and a good male is the thing you cannot get from a feminized pack at any price.

Order matters in a cross name. In Blue Lime Pie (Key Lime Pie x Blue Power) regular the Key Lime Pie side supplied the seed and Blue Power the pollen, and the reciprocal - the same two plants the other way round - is a separate breeding decision with its own results.

Genetic Lineage

• Mother: Key Lime Pie. The citrus-forward cut of the Cookies family. Its own history is not clean. Two Californian outfits are named as its origin - Purple Caper Seeds and Burning Bush Nurseries - and one account has it made deliberately by crossing GSC to Lime Skunk and backcrossing to a GSC F2 male rather than found as a phenotype. What every account agrees on is that it sits inside the Cookies family.
• Father: Blue Power. Sin City's flagship male, and the reason their catalogue holds together. It traces back to a Power clone crossed to a White Moonshine male in 2010; the Power side is given as Sour Double x Master Kush, and White Moonshine as The White x Blue Moonshine. The mother was bought simply as Power from Progressive Options, a Prop 215 shop in the San Fernando Valley that dealt in elite cuts, and a persistent rumour says it was really the cup-winning Sour Dubb. Nobody has settled that.
• What to expect across a pack. Two distinct parents means real variation in frame, finish and nose. Select early and take cuttings off anything you would want again.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

Two distinct smells, and a pack will give you both plus everything between.

• The Aroma. Lime peel over dough and cream from the Key Lime Pie side, against sweet kush and sour diesel with creamy blueberry and vanilla behind it from the Blue Power side.
• The Taste. Tart against sweet up front, turning to berry and lemon over an earthy close through the exhale.

Where the parents disagree

• Timing. Key Lime Pie runs sixty-three to seventy days, so eight to ten weeks, and that is the half of this cross you can actually plan around.
• The smell is a negotiation. Lime zest and citrus peel over sweet dough, with earth and cream underneath on one side against sweet kush and sour diesel with creamy blueberry and vanilla behind it on the other. Neither wins outright in every seedling.
• Two frames in one pack. Key Lime Pie is about seventy-five percent indica; dense compact flower, light green with purple coming through, under a heavy coat of trichomes. Blue Power is indica-dominant, usually put around eighty twenty. Decide which suits your room before you flip, because you get both.
• Opposite ends. Key Lime Pie is reported as the settled, indica-weighted end of the Cookies family; Blue Power as heavy on the body with the mood lifted rather than flattened. The cross sits somewhere between and moves plant to plant.
