Blueberry Tartz (Zkittlez x Blue Power) brings Zkittlez together with Blue Power. The first is Grape Ape crossed to Grapefruit, and the modern benchmark for candy terpenes; the second, the 2010 cross that everything else at Sin City was built on top of. Two lines that were never going to produce a quiet plant. Sin City have been running these house parents for over a decade. The value in a cross like this is as much in the known half as in the new one.

Order matters in a cross name. In Blueberry Tartz (Zkittlez x Blue Power) the Zkittlez side supplied the seed and Blue Power the pollen, and the reciprocal - the same two plants the other way round - is a separate breeding decision with its own results.

The mother was bought simply as Power from Progressive Options, a Prop 215 shop in the San Fernando Valley that dealt in elite cuts, and a persistent rumour says it was really the cup-winning Sour Dubb. Nobody has settled that.
• How to read it. Everything below splits into what one parent gives and what the other does. Plants that take from both are the ones to keep.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

Two profiles that stay distinguishable rather than collapsing into one.

• The Aroma. Sweet tropical fruit - the candy nose the name promises from the Zkittlez side, against kush sweetness and diesel sourness with blueberry cream underneath from the Blue Power side.
• The Taste. Tropical candy and berry up front, turning to lemon and berry sweetness closing on earth through the exhale.

Where the parents disagree

• What to budget. The documented side, Zkittlez, runs eight to nine weeks indoors, reported elsewhere at nine to ten. Set the room to that and let the plants correct you.
• Two noses, one pack. Zkittlez contributes a sharp tropical medley of sweet citrus candy and sour berries with a soft herbal undertone. Blue Power contributes sweet kush and sour diesel with creamy blueberry and vanilla behind it. Which dominates is the main thing that varies.
