Take Irene Kush, also called Irene OG, a Deep South cut kept almost entirely for its terpenes, and put it over Pakistani Chitral Kush, a pure landrace indica from the Chitral valley in northern Pakistan. That is Boss Bitch (Irene kush x Pakistani chitral Kush). Both parents here are cuts CSI keep in their own room. That is the whole difference between this and a seed line named after the same strains.

Written this way, Irene Kush is the mother and Pakistani Chitral Kush the pollen donor. Reversing a cross is not a formality; which plant carries the seed shapes what comes out of the pack.

Genetic Lineage

• Mother: Irene Kush. Also called Irene OG, a Deep South cut kept almost entirely for its terpenes. Its own cross is traced to an unknown Emerald Triangle plant crossed to Hindu Kush, and widely taken to descend from California OG Kush. CSI recommend a nutrient-rich organic soil with good micronutrient content to bring the terpenes out; it is among the hardest clones they have reversed.
• Father: Pakistani Chitral Kush. PCK - the Chitral valley landrace out of the Pakistani Hindu Kush. The Chitral valley is hashish country, and this line was selected and stabilised there through the 1990s by Cannabiogen. Its terpene profile is unusual - very high geraniol and alpha-humulene, with terpinolene, beta-caryophyllene and nerolidol behind them.
• Why it is worth a pack rather than a look. The two sides are far enough apart that seedlings genuinely differ. That range is the product.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

The two halves stack rather than blend, which is the whole reason to run it.

• The Aroma. Sour and sharp from the Irene Kush side, against a wide range of sweet, round, penetrating scents - coffee, caramel, citrus, cherry, grape and a strawberry-and-blackberry chewing-gum note from the Pakistani Chitral Kush side.
• The Taste. Earthy and piney with the sweetness carrying through and a sour diesel edge up front, turning to the same sweet spread, with the hash character underneath through the exhale.

• What to budget. The documented side, Pakistani Chitral Kush, runs eight to nine weeks indoors; outdoors it finishes at the end of September. Set the room to that and let the plants correct you.
