Selfing takes one plant and makes seed from it alone. Here that plant is Bubba Kush, the West Coast indica benchmark, a Los Angeles clone from the mid-1990s named after the grower who kept it. It carries roasted coffee, dark cocoa and old-school hash with a woody edge. Bubba Kush S1 is therefore a search through what that single cut is carrying rather than a blend of two lines.

• Mother and Father: Bubba Kush, selfed. The West Coast indica benchmark, a Los Angeles clone from the mid-1990s named after the grower who kept it. Dense colas need airflow; the Pre-98 cut is the shorter, broader-leafed, heavier expression.
• Why it exists as seed at all. Clone-only cuts travel as cuttings, which means they survive only as long as somebody keeps them alive. Reversing one onto itself is how a plant like this stops depending on a single grower's luck.
• What a self gives you. Both halves of every seed come from that one plant, so what varies between seedlings is the clone's own hidden range rather than another line showing through.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

• The Aroma. Coffee and cocoa over an old-fashioned hash note, with wood behind it.
• The Taste. Spiced earth and coffee bean, finishing hashy and thick.

Cultivation and Growth Traits

• Plant Structure. Short to medium and stocky, broad deep-green leaves, tight internodes, modest 1.2 to 1.5 times stretch; golf-ball to cola-sized buds with thick calyces and heavy resin, forest green through to plum.
• Vegetative Phase. Top or train before you flip rather than chasing the canopy afterwards.

Effects and Experience

• The Mind. Growers describe Bubba Kush as gentle and unhurried, warm and loosening, body-forward.
• The Body. Reported in line with that. This is not a plant described as pulling in two directions.
