Take Indiana Bubblegum, a genuine 1990s Indiana survivor and still the reference for what sweet should smell like, and put it over UK Cheese, a single Skunk #1 keeper out of Britain, kept as a cutting for three decades. That is Bubblegum x UK Cheese. Humboldt CSI work almost entirely from clones they hold themselves, so both sides of this are the real thing rather than a seed-line approximation of it.

Order matters in a cross name. In Bubblegum x UK Cheese the Indiana Bubblegum side supplied the seed and UK Cheese the pollen, and the reciprocal - the same two plants the other way round - is a separate breeding decision with its own results.

Genetic Lineage

• Mother: Indiana Bubblegum. The original Indiana bubblegum plant, and the standard every later candy strain is measured against. Wants a moderate level of experience.
• Father: UK Cheese. The Exodus clone - one Skunk #1 plant found in Britain around 1990 and never let go of. It traces back to a Skunk #1 phenotype, not a cross. Famously forgiving and often recommended to beginners; spread by the Exodus Collective.
• Why these two. They are not variations on the same idea. They pull in different directions, and that spread is what makes a pack worth hunting through rather than just growing.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

The two halves stack rather than blend, which is the whole reason to run it.

• The Aroma. Pink bubblegum, cotton candy and strawberry taffy over vanilla cream with a faint hash note from the Indiana Bubblegum side, against tangy cheddar sitting on earthy, skunky sweetness, loud enough to carry through a door from the UK Cheese side.
• The Taste. Cotton candy and ripe berry with a creamy finish up front, turning to sour cheese and earth through the exhale.

Where the parents disagree

• They are not on the same clock. Indiana Bubblegum runs seven to eight weeks, some reporting sixty to sixty-five days; UK Cheese runs seven to nine weeks depending on source. Across a pack that gap shows up as plants finishing days or weeks apart.
• Where the nose comes from. One side gives pink bubblegum first, then cotton candy, strawberry taffy and vanilla cream, with ripe berry and a faint hash note; the other gives tangy cheddar over earthy, skunky sweetness, loud enough to fill a house. Plants landing in the middle are the keepers.
• Build. On the Indiana Bubblegum side: medium-tall on a slender, sparse frame; roughly doubles in height after the flip; heavy trichome coverage on dense buds. On the UK Cheese side: slender, vine-like branches carrying spear-shaped colas with big swollen calyxes under a dense sticky trichome coat; grows with real vigour despite leaning indica. Select early rather than trying to train your way out of it.
