Chem 91 S1. preserves Chem 91 rather than crossing it. The cut (the SKVA cut - the original Chemdog '91 and the clone the family takes its name from) was reversed onto itself, so both sides of every seed trace to it. It carries pungent turned earth and diesel with pine and citrus behind it. A clone-only plant has no other way of surviving in seed.

91 identifies the Chem used here. Numbered cuts come out of a population that was grown and sorted, and the number rides with the plant that was kept. Two crosses that both say Chem are only the same cross if the number matches too.

Genetic Lineage

• Mother and Father: Chem 91, selfed. The SKVA cut, the original Chemdog '91 and the clone the whole Chem family is named after. Parentage: one of thirteen seeds from a bag bought at a Grateful Dead show in 1991. Skunk VA was given a cut in 1995 and has held it since, which is why the line survives.
• Preservation, not novelty. A cut this old has no seed history - it has been passed hand to hand. A self is the only route to a packet, and the only way the line outlives the people currently holding it.
• Reading a pack of a self. There is no second parent introducing anything new. Selfing surfaces traits the clone carries quietly, so expect range rather than uniformity, and that spread is the point.
