Deadly Triangle (Triangle Kush x Pakistani Chitral Kush) puts Triangle Kush over Pakistani Chitral Kush. One is the Florida cut that sits at the root of the OG family and has fathered more of the modern index than almost anything else; the other is a pure landrace indica from the Chitral valley in northern Pakistan. Two very different plants, and the point of the cross is what sits between them. Both parents here are cuts CSI keep in their own room. That is the whole difference between this and a seed line named after the same strains.

Written this way, Triangle Kush is the mother and Pakistani Chitral Kush the pollen donor. Reversing a cross is not a formality; which plant carries the seed shapes what comes out of the pack.

Genetic Lineage

• Mother: Triangle Kush. The Florida clone often credited with giving OG Kush its origin, named for the triangle of Jacksonville, Miami and Tampa. Lighter on the pine and cleaner-fluid terpenes than its reputation suggests, which is why breeders pair it with louder cuts; Humboldt CSI's 5150 is their pick out of a large Triangle Kush S1 population.
• Father: Pakistani Chitral Kush. PCK - the Chitral valley landrace out of the Pakistani Hindu Kush. The Chitral valley is hashish country, and this line was selected and stabilised there through the 1990s by Cannabiogen. Its terpene profile is unusual - very high geraniol and alpha-humulene, with terpinolene, beta-caryophyllene and nerolidol behind them.
• What to expect across a pack. Two distinct parents means real variation in frame, finish and nose. Select early and take cuttings off anything you would want again.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

The nose is where these two argue hardest.

• The Aroma. Classic OG earth and pine, noticeably restrained rather than loud from the Triangle Kush side, against a wide range of sweet, round, penetrating scents - coffee, caramel, citrus, cherry, grape and a strawberry-and-blackberry chewing-gum note from the Pakistani Chitral Kush side.
• The Taste. Pine and earth with OG weight, cleaning up late up front, turning to the same sweet spread, with the hash character underneath through the exhale.

• Two different harvest dates. Eight to nine weeks, reported sixty-three to seventy-seven days with most growers near seventy for Triangle Kush, eight to nine weeks indoors; outdoors it finishes at the end of September for Pakistani Chitral Kush. Judge each plant on trichomes rather than pulling the room together.
• The smell is a negotiation. Classic og earth and pine, noticeably restrained rather than loud on one side against a wide range of sweet, round, penetrating scents - coffee, caramel, citrus, cherry, grape and a strawberry-and-blackberry chewing-gum note on the other. Neither wins outright in every seedling.
• Two frames in one pack. Triangle Kush is stocky and bushy at moderate indoor height, up to two metres outdoors; vegs vigorously and throws heavy foliage; takes trimming, defoliation and lollipopping well; dense bright green flower under heavy resin. Pakistani Chitral Kush is two main phenotypes - one plain green, one that colours up hard. Both adapt well and both throw serious resin. Unusually for a pure indica it ripens properly in wet weather, where most afghanis rot. Decide which suits your room before you flip, because you get both.
• Opposite ends. Triangle Kush is reported as the potent, focused end of the OG family; Pakistani Chitral Kush as the classic hash-plant effect. The cross sits somewhere between and moves plant to plant.

Triangle Kush is a vigorous, leafy grower that fills a tent fast and takes hard training - the flower underneath comes in dense and greasy once you open it up.
