G-1000 (GG4 x T 1000) is Gorilla Glue 4 crossed to T-1000. Gorilla Glue 4 is one of the most-copied clones of the last fifteen years and the plant that made sheer resin a selling point. T-1000 is an Old Family Purple selection named by CSI Portland, built on Triangle Kush and Purple Urkle. Between them they cover ground neither reaches alone. Humboldt CSI work almost entirely from clones they hold themselves, so both sides of this are the real thing rather than a seed-line approximation of it.

1000 identifies the x T used here. Numbered cuts come out of a population that was grown and sorted, and the number rides with the plant that was kept. Two crosses that both say x T are only the same cross if the number matches too.

Order matters in a cross name. In G-1000 (GG4 x T 1000) the Gorilla Glue 4 side supplied the seed and T-1000 the pollen, and the reciprocal - the same two plants the other way round - is a separate breeding decision with its own results.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

Two distinct smells, and a pack will give you both plus everything between.

• The Aroma. Heavy chemical and earth with a sour, piney edge from the Gorilla Glue 4 side, against juicy grape and sweet cream over pine needles and skunky diesel, with musky earth and a touch of spice from the T-1000 side.
• The Taste. Thick and coating with chemical-earth weight and sour pine up front, turning to grape and cream moving to pine and a light diesel, finishing on earth through the exhale.

What each side brings

• Timing splits the pack. One parent wants around eight to nine weeks, the other roughly fifty-six to seventy days, with many growers looking at week nine. Expect the fast plants down well before the slow ones are ready.

Gorilla Glue 4 is gets tall - a hundred to a hundred and thirty centimetres untrained - and stretches hard through the first two to three weeks; dense chunky colas under a resin coat heavy enough to leave fingers sticky; usually needs extra support. T-1000 is indica-leaning at around seventy-thirty, medium in height, stacking dense spear-shaped colas under heavy resin.
• Vegetative Phase and Stretch. Shape the plant before the flip. Correcting a frame in week six is harder work than setting it in week two.
• Flowering Time. The parents are not on the same clock. Gorilla Glue 4 runs around eight to nine weeks, T-1000 roughly fifty-six to seventy days, with many growers looking at week nine. Judge each plant on trichomes rather than pulling the room together.
