MotorBreath carries a 15 because selections get numbered to stay distinguishable once they leave the room they were made in. It marks this exact mother, and it is the part of the name worth reading closely.

Order matters in a cross name. In Gas Pump (MotorBreath 15 x ChemDDf3) the Motorbreath side supplied the seed and Chem D the pollen, and the reciprocal - the same two plants the other way round - is a separate breeding decision with its own results.

• Why these two. They are not variations on the same idea. They pull in different directions, and that spread is what makes a pack worth hunting through rather than just growing.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

Neither parent is subtle, and the cross has nowhere quiet to go.

• The Aroma. Pungent fuel with citrus behind it from the Motorbreath side, against solvent and heavy earth, with nothing sweet anywhere in it from the Chem D side.
• The Taste. Fuel first, citrus after up front, turning to fuel and earth, greasy and coating, finishing sour through the exhale.

• Timing. Motorbreath runs around sixty-eight days, so nine and a half to ten weeks, and that is the half of this cross you can actually plan around.
• The smell is a negotiation. Pungent fuel with citrus behind it on one side against chemical fuel over dark turned earth on the other. Neither wins outright in every seedling.
• Build. On the Motorbreath side: mostly indica. On the Chem D side: open and loose rather than compact, wants support once the colas load. Select early rather than trying to train your way out of it.
• They pull differently. Growers put Motorbreath at heavy, and it tests high - twenty-five to twenty-eight percent is the usual range and Chem D at alert and head-forward rather than heavy. Which end a plant lands on is the main variable.
