Take Banana OG, Banana OG - OG Kush softened with Banana Kush, and put it over Blue Power, Sin City's flagship, and the male behind most of what they have released since. That is Ice Cream Banana (Banana OG x Blue Power). That is the Sin City method: take something new and worth having, and put it over a plant they have already proven across dozens of crosses.

Order matters in a cross name. In Ice Cream Banana (Banana OG x Blue Power) the Banana OG side supplied the seed and Blue Power the pollen, and the reciprocal - the same two plants the other way round - is a separate breeding decision with its own results.

Genetic Lineage

• Mother: Banana OG. Banana OG - OG Kush softened with Banana Kush. Its own cross is given as OG Kush x Banana Kush. The two halves do opposite jobs - OG Kush brings the pine and the gas, Banana Kush brings cream and tropical fruit, and the plant reads as one or the other depending how far into the jar you are.
• Father: Blue Power. Sin City's flagship male, and the reason their catalogue holds together. It traces back to a Power clone crossed to a White Moonshine male in 2010; the Power side is given as Sour Double x Master Kush, and White Moonshine as The White x Blue Moonshine. The mother was bought simply as Power from Progressive Options, a Prop 215 shop in the San Fernando Valley that dealt in elite cuts, and a persistent rumour says it was really the cup-winning Sour Dubb. Nobody has settled that.
• Why these two. They are not variations on the same idea. They pull in different directions, and that spread is what makes a pack worth hunting through rather than just growing.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

The nose is where these two argue hardest.

• The Aroma. Overripe banana at first, turning piney as the flower is broken up from the Banana OG side, against kush sweetness and diesel sourness with blueberry cream underneath from the Blue Power side.
• The Taste. Tropical sweetness over an OG base up front, turning to berry and lemon over an earthy close through the exhale.
