Jagar x Purple Indica puts Jager over Purple Indica. One is an indica-dominant hybrid out of the Pacific Northwest, Oregon in particular, from the early 2010s; the other is an heirloom of Pacific Northwest fame going back to the early-to-mid 1980s. Two very different plants, and the point of the cross is what sits between them. These are held cuts, not recreations. Jager sits on the seed side here, Purple Indica on the pollen side. If you have seen these two names paired the other way round, that is a different pack and not this one.

Genetic Lineage

• Mother: Jager. An indica-dominant hybrid out of the Pacific Northwest, Oregon in particular, from the early 2010s. Its own cross is contested - some hold it a Hindu Kush descendant on smell and effect, others argue Southern Oregon stock on appearance.
• Father: Purple Indica. An heirloom of Pacific Northwest fame going back to the early-to-mid 1980s. The purple is in the plant rather than in the weather - the leaves come in dark without needing a cold snap to bring the colour out, which is not true of most purple lines.
• The point of the pairing. Neither parent needed rescuing. Putting them together is about what sits between them, not about fixing either one.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

The nose is where these two argue hardest.

• The Aroma. Black liquorice and anise with musk, damp earth and woody, spicy undertones from the Jager side, against sweet and earthy with pine and berry from the Purple Indica side.
• The Taste. Liquorice and anise finishing earthy, woody and faintly spiced up front, turning to sweet earth and dark fruit through the exhale.

What each side brings

• Timing splits the pack. One parent wants eight to ten weeks indoors, the other fifty-six to sixty-three days. Expect the fast plants down well before the slow ones are ready.
• The smell is a negotiation. Black liquorice and anise with musk, damp earth and woody, spicy undertones on one side against sweet and earthy with pine and berry on the other. Neither wins outright in every seedling.
• Structure varies hard here. Indica-dominant and compact from one parent; indica by build, indoors or outdoors; naturally dark purple leaves rather than colour that only arrives in the cold from the other. Plan the canopy for the taller outcome.
• They pull differently. Growers put Jager at settled; physical and relaxing and Purple Indica at settled and unhurried; physical and relaxing. Which end a plant lands on is the main variable.

Cultivation and Growth Traits

• Plant Structure. The two parents disagree here, so plan for range. Jager is indica-dominant and compact. Purple Indica is indica-framed and compact.
• Veg and stretch. Set the frame while it is cheap to do. Anything you fix after the flip costs you flower sites.
• Flowering Time. The parents are not on the same clock. Jager runs eight to ten weeks indoors, Purple Indica fifty-six to sixty-three days. Judge each plant on trichomes rather than pulling the room together.

Effects and Experience

• The Mind. Growers describe Jager as settled; physical and relaxing.
• The Body. Purple Indica is reported as settled and unhurried; physical and relaxing, and that is the side supplying the weight here.
