Lava Kush puts Lava Cake over Triangle Kush. One is Cannarado's chocolate-and-mint cross, and one of their most widely grown releases; the other is the Florida clone a lot of people credit with starting the OG line, named for the Jacksonville-Miami-Tampa triangle. Two very different plants, and the point of the cross is what sits between them. Jungle Boys breed from plants they already grow at scale, so both parents here have been judged on how they actually perform rather than on how they look in a hunt.

Lava Cake sits on the seed side here, Triangle Kush on the pollen side. If you have seen these two names paired the other way round, that is a different pack and not this one.

Genetic Lineage

• Mother: Lava Cake. A Cannarado cross that put chocolate and mint on the same plant. Parentage: Thin Mint GSC x Grape Pie. Thin Mint is a Girl Scout Cookies phenotype and brings the mint and the balance; Grape Pie brings the fruit and the colour, and carries Purple Urkle behind it..
• Father: Triangle Kush. The Florida cut that sits at the root of the OG family and has fathered more of the modern index than almost anything else. Lighter on the pine and cleaner-fluid terpenes than its reputation suggests, which is why breeders pair it with louder cuts; Humboldt CSI's 5150 is their pick out of a large Triangle Kush S1 population.
• What the cross is reaching for. One side brings the structure and the other brings the nose. The plants worth keeping out of a pack are the ones that hold both rather than picking a side.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

Two distinct smells, and a pack will give you both plus everything between.

• The Aroma. Fruity pine over a herbal, chocolatey base from the Lava Cake side, against restrained OG earth and pine from the Triangle Kush side.
• The Taste. Chocolate and mint first, grape in the middle, fuel and pine on the exhale up front, turning to earthy pine with OG weight behind it, cleaner at the finish than at the start through the exhale.

How the two sides differ

• They are not on the same clock. Lava Cake runs eight to nine weeks; Triangle Kush runs eight to nine weeks, reported sixty-three to seventy-seven days with most growers near seventy. Across a pack that gap shows up as plants finishing days or weeks apart.
• Where the nose comes from. One side gives fruity pine over a herbal, chocolatey base; the other gives classic OG earth and pine, noticeably restrained rather than loud. Plants landing in the middle are the keepers.
• Structure varies hard here. Dense, dark flower with purple showing through and a heavy resin coat from one parent; stocky and bushy at moderate indoor height, up to two metres outdoors; vegs vigorously and throws heavy foliage; takes trimming, defoliation and lollipopping well; dense bright green flower under heavy resin from the other. Plan the canopy for the taller outcome.
• Opposite ends. Lava Cake is reported as a short cerebral lift then deep physical calm; usually tests between twenty-one and twenty-five percent; Triangle Kush as the potent, focused end of the OG family. The cross sits somewhere between and moves plant to plant.
