Lime T.K. (Triangle Kush x Key Lime Pie) sits between Triangle Kush and Key Lime Pie: the Florida clone a lot of people credit with starting the OG line, named for the Jacksonville-Miami-Tampa triangle on one side, Cookies taken towards lime rather than mint on the other. Sin City have been running these house parents for over a decade. The value in a cross like this is as much in the known half as in the new one.

Order matters in a cross name. In Lime T.K. (Triangle Kush x Key Lime Pie) the Triangle Kush side supplied the seed and Key Lime Pie the pollen, and the reciprocal - the same two plants the other way round - is a separate breeding decision with its own results.

Genetic Lineage

• Mother: Triangle Kush. The Florida cut behind a great deal of the OG family. Lighter on the pine and cleaner-fluid terpenes than its reputation suggests, which is why breeders pair it with louder cuts; Humboldt CSI's 5150 is their pick out of a large Triangle Kush S1 population.
• Father: Key Lime Pie. Key Lime Pie - the sharp end of the Cookies family. Its own history is not clean. Two Californian outfits are named as its origin - Purple Caper Seeds and Burning Bush Nurseries - and one account has it made deliberately by crossing GSC to Lime Skunk and backcrossing to a GSC F2 male rather than found as a phenotype. What every account agrees on is that it sits inside the Cookies family.
• The point of the pairing. Neither parent needed rescuing. Putting them together is about what sits between them, not about fixing either one.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

Expect the profile to move plant to plant rather than settle.

• The Aroma. Restrained OG earth and pine from the Triangle Kush side, against lime peel over dough and cream from the Key Lime Pie side.
• The Taste. Pine and earth carrying real OG weight, though it finishes cleaner than it opens up front, turning to tart against sweet through the exhale.

What each side brings

• Timing splits the pack. One parent wants eight to nine weeks, reported sixty-three to seventy-seven days with most growers near seventy, the other sixty-three to seventy days, so eight to ten weeks. Expect the fast plants down well before the slow ones are ready.
• Two noses, one pack. Triangle Kush contributes classic OG earth and pine, noticeably restrained rather than loud. Key Lime Pie contributes lime zest and citrus peel over sweet dough, with earth and cream underneath. Which dominates is the main thing that varies.
• Build. On the Triangle Kush side: stocky and bushy at moderate indoor height, up to two metres outdoors; vegs vigorously and throws heavy foliage; takes trimming, defoliation and lollipopping well; dense bright green flower under heavy resin. On the Key Lime Pie side: about seventy-five percent indica; dense compact flower, light green with purple coming through, under a heavy coat of trichomes. Select early rather than trying to train your way out of it.
• They pull differently. Growers put Triangle Kush at the potent, focused end of the OG family and Key Lime Pie at the settled, indica-weighted end of the Cookies family. Which end a plant lands on is the main variable.

Cultivation and Growth Traits

• Plant Structure. The two parents disagree here, so plan for range. Triangle Kush is leafy and vigorous, filling a tent quickly and taking hard training in return for dense greasy flower. Key Lime Pie is three-quarters indica, dense and compact, light green with purple through it under heavy frost.
• Veg and stretch. Set the frame while it is cheap to do. Anything you fix after the flip costs you flower sites.
• Flowering Time. The parents are not on the same clock. Triangle Kush runs eight to nine weeks, reported sixty-three to seventy-seven days with most growers near seventy, Key Lime Pie sixty-three to seventy days, so eight to ten weeks. Judge each plant on trichomes rather than pulling the room together.
