Luxor (Triangle Kush x SinMint Cookies) puts Triangle Kush over SinMint Cookies. One is the Florida clone often credited with giving OG Kush its origin, named for the triangle of Jacksonville, Miami and Tampa; the other is SMC - Cookies over Blue Power, and the strain most people meet them through. Two very different plants, and the point of the cross is what sits between them. The known parent is doing real work here - it is what turns an interesting pairing into a line that comes out the same way twice.

Order matters in a cross name. In Luxor (Triangle Kush x SinMint Cookies) the Triangle Kush side supplied the seed and SinMint Cookies the pollen, and the reciprocal - the same two plants the other way round - is a separate breeding decision with its own results.

• What the cross is reaching for. One side brings the structure and the other brings the nose. The plants worth keeping out of a pack are the ones that hold both rather than picking a side.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

Neither parent is subtle, and the cross has nowhere quiet to go.

• The Aroma. OG earth and pine, held back rather than shouted from the Triangle Kush side, against cookie dough with mint over a kush base from the SinMint Cookies side.
• The Taste. Pine and earth with OG weight, cleaning up late up front, turning to the same - dough and mint, with kush underneath through the exhale.

What each side brings

• Two different harvest dates. Eight to nine weeks, reported sixty-three to seventy-seven days with most growers near seventy for Triangle Kush, sixty to sixty-five days, yielding three to five hundred grams a square metre for SinMint Cookies. Judge each plant on trichomes rather than pulling the room together.
• Where the nose comes from. One side gives classic OG earth and pine, noticeably restrained rather than loud; the other gives cookie dough with mint over a kush base. Plants landing in the middle are the keepers.
• Two frames in one pack. Triangle Kush is stocky and bushy at moderate indoor height, up to two metres outdoors; vegs vigorously and throws heavy foliage; takes trimming, defoliation and lollipopping well; dense bright green flower under heavy resin. SinMint Cookies is about sixty forty indica, with dense compact buds under trichome coverage heavy enough that they read almost white at harvest.
