Mazar-I-Sharif IBL is built on Mazar-i-Sharif, an indica landrace from the Balkh region of northern Afghanistan.

Genetic Lineage

• Mother and Father: Mazar-i-Sharif. An indica landrace from the Balkh region of northern Afghanistan. It is grown around Mazar-i-Sharif for charas, so generations of farmer selection have pushed it towards resin, drought tolerance and a frame that can carry the weight. The trichome heads are large and short-stalked, which is exactly what you want if you are extracting rather than smoking flower.
• What a reversal is for. It puts a clone-only plant into seed without introducing anything foreign. That is preservation work rather than breeding, and it is most of what Humboldt CSI actually do.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

• The Aroma. The classic hashish nose, myrcene and caryophyllene led.
• The Taste. Heavy and hashy.

Cultivation and Growth Traits

• Plant Structure. A large, broad-leafleted, high-yielding plant running anywhere from one to three metres, with red stems and pink-red stigmas.
• Vegetative Phase and Training. Open the middle out early. Light reaching the lower sites is worth more than any late correction.
• Flowering Time. Mazar-i-Sharif runs seven to nine weeks. Start checking trichomes a week before you expect to be ready.

• The Mind. Growers describe Mazar-i-Sharif as narcotic and physical.
