Meat Sweats (Chemdog d x Bubba Kush) is Chem D crossed to Bubba Kush. Chem D is the workhorse of the Chem family and the cut breeders reach for most. Bubba Kush is the West Coast indica benchmark, a Los Angeles clone from the mid-1990s named after the grower who kept it. Between them they cover ground neither reaches alone. Every parent CSI use is a cut they keep alive themselves, so nothing in this pack is a reconstruction of a famous name.

Chem D sits on the seed side here, Bubba Kush on the pollen side. If you have seen these two names paired the other way round, that is a different pack and not this one.

Genetic Lineage

• Mother: Chem D. The most-used of the 1991 Chem phenotypes, and the one sitting behind Giesel. It traces back to another phenotype from the same 1991 seed lot. It is the Chem half of Giesel, and one of the most widely used Chem cuts in American breeding.
• Father: Bubba Kush. The West Coast indica benchmark, a Los Angeles clone from the mid-1990s named after the grower who kept it. Dense colas need airflow; the Pre-98 cut is the shorter, broader-leafed, heavier expression.
• The point of the pairing. Neither parent needed rescuing. Putting them together is about what sits between them, not about fixing either one.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

The nose is where these two argue hardest.

• The Aroma. Chemical fuel over dark, turned earth from the Chem D side, against coffee and cocoa over an old-fashioned hash note, with wood behind it from the Bubba Kush side.
• The Taste. Fuel and earth, greasy and coating, finishing sour up front, turning to spice and earth up front, closing thick and hashy through the exhale.

The two halves, side by side

• Where the nose comes from. One side gives chemical fuel over dark turned earth; the other gives roasted coffee, dark cocoa and old-school hash with a woody edge. Plants landing in the middle are the keepers.
• Structure varies hard here. Open and loose rather than compact, wants support once the colas load from one parent; short to medium and stocky, broad deep-green leaves, tight internodes, modest 1.2 to 1.5 times stretch; golf-ball to cola-sized buds with thick calyces and heavy resin, forest green through to plum from the other. Plan the canopy for the taller outcome.
• Opposite ends. Chem D is reported as alert and head-forward rather than heavy; Bubba Kush as gentle and unhurried, warm and loosening, body-forward. The cross sits somewhere between and moves plant to plant.

Cultivation and Growth Traits

• Plant Structure. The two parents disagree here, so plan for range. Chem D is open and loose rather than compact, wants support once the colas load. Bubba Kush is a stocky plant with barely any stretch - one and a half times at most - carrying dense, thick-calyxed flower that colours from deep green towards plum under a heavy resin load.
• Before the flip. Decide the shape now. These lines do not tidy themselves up once they are running.

• The Mind. Growers describe Chem D as alert and head-forward rather than heavy.
• The Body. Bubba Kush is reported as gentle and unhurried, warm and loosening, body-forward, and that is the side supplying the weight here.
