Take Chem 91, the SKVA cut, the original Chemdog '91 and the clone the whole Chem family is named after, and put it over UK Cheese, the Exodus clone - one Skunk #1 plant found in Britain around 1990 and never let go of. That is Muttzzarella 2.0 (Chemdog 91 x UK Cheese). Both parents here are cuts CSI keep in their own room. That is the whole difference between this and a seed line named after the same strains.

The number in Muttzzarella 2 is a specific plant, not a decoration. Humboldt CSI grow a population out, keep the individuals worth keeping and number them, so Muttzzarella 2 is one identified selection rather than Muttzzarella in general. A pack naming a different number is a different mother. Chemdog carries a 91 because selections get numbered to stay distinguishable once they leave the room they were made in. It marks this exact mother, and it is the part of the name worth reading closely.

Order matters in a cross name. In Muttzzarella 2.0 (Chemdog 91 x UK Cheese) the Chem 91 side supplied the seed and UK Cheese the pollen, and the reciprocal - the same two plants the other way round - is a separate breeding decision with its own results.
