Obama x Purple Urkle crosses Obama Kush to Purple Urkle: Red Beard's award-winning 2007 selection out of CSI's own Mendocino Purple Kush against a Mendocino Purps selection pulled out of the Emerald Triangle around 1990. Neither is a filler parent, which is why this pairing is worth a pack rather than a look. What CSI sell is access to their clone collection in seed form. The parents are the cuts themselves, not a line bred to resemble them.

Order matters in a cross name. In Obama x Purple Urkle the Obama Kush side supplied the seed and Purple Urkle the pollen, and the reciprocal - the same two plants the other way round - is a separate breeding decision with its own results.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

Two profiles that stay distinguishable rather than collapsing into one.

• The Aroma. Coffee and cocoa hash from the Bubba side with grape from the Mendocino Purple from the Obama Kush side, against sweet grape and dark berry over earthy skunk, myrcene-dominant from the Purple Urkle side.
