Take Obama Kush, Red Beard's award-winning 2007 selection out of CSI's own Mendocino Purple Kush, and put it over Sunset Sherbet, a Girl Scout Cookies and Pink Panties cross, and one of the plants that defined modern dessert weed. That is Obama x Sherbet. CSI breed off held clones rather than off seed stock, which is why the parents named on the pack are the actual plants and not their descendants.

Genetic Lineage

• Mother: Obama Kush. Red Beard's award-winning 2007 selection out of CSI's own Mendocino Purple Kush. Parentage: a selection of Mendocino Purple Kush, which is Mendocino Purple x Bubba Kush, made by CSI in 2006. Red Beard pulled two keepers from that seed - Obama Kush and George W. Kush; the Obama cut spread through the Pacific Northwest and stayed there.
• Father: Sunset Sherbet. Girl Scout Cookies crossed to Pink Panties, and one of the definitive modern dessert plants. Its own cross is Girl Scout Cookies x Pink Panties. Wants a stable room - around 70-78F and 40-50% humidity in bloom.
• What the cross is reaching for. One side brings the structure and the other brings the nose. The plants worth keeping out of a pack are the ones that hold both rather than picking a side.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

• The Aroma. Coffee and cocoa hash from the Bubba side with grape from the Mendocino Purple from the Obama Kush side, against sweet berry and citrus over a creamy base from the Sunset Sherbet side.
• The Taste. Spiced earth and dark roast up front, turning to berry and cream with a citrus lift through the exhale.

What each side brings
