There is only one plant in Purple Afghani Kush S1. Purple Hindu Kush (a fast, deeply coloured indica out of the Hindu Kush line) was reversed and pollinated with itself, which is how a cut that never made seed on its own ends up in a packet. It carries earthy, piney and spicy with strong grape and berry over a pungent base. Expect variations on that one plant, not a new hybrid.

Genetic Lineage

• Mother and Father: Purple Hindu Kush, selfed. A fast, deeply coloured indica out of the Hindu Kush line. Given as Hindu Kush x Purple Afghani.
• What a reversal is for. It puts a clone-only plant into seed without introducing anything foreign. That is preservation work rather than breeding, and it is most of what MzJill Genetics actually do.
• Why self rather than cross. Cross a clone to anything and you get a hybrid of it, not the clone. Reversing it onto itself keeps the parentage on both sides, which is the honest way to put a clone-only cut into seed.

• The Aroma. Sweet earth and grape with a hash note under it.
• The Taste. Grape and earth, hashy at the end.

Cultivation and Growth Traits

• Plant Structure. Dense resinous buds in deep purple with bright orange pistils under a thick trichome coat; colour develops as temperatures drop in flower.
• Before the flip. Decide the shape now. These lines do not tidy themselves up once they are running.
• Flowering Time. Purple Hindu Kush runs seven to eight weeks. Start checking trichomes a week before you expect to be ready.
