There are two very different things inside Purple Urkle 103 x T-1000. Purple Urkle, the Emerald Triangle purple keeper that most of California's colour reputation rests on. And T-1000, an Old Family Purple selection named by CSI Portland, built on Triangle Kush and Purple Urkle. Both parents here are cuts CSI keep in their own room. That is the whole difference between this and a seed line named after the same strains.

The number in Purple Urkle 103 is a specific plant, not a decoration. Humboldt CSI grow a population out, keep the individuals worth keeping and number them, so Purple Urkle 103 is one identified selection rather than Purple Urkle in general. A pack naming a different number is a different mother.

Purple Urkle sits on the seed side here, T-1000 on the pollen side. If you have seen these two names paired the other way round, that is a different pack and not this one.

Genetic Lineage

• Mother: Purple Urkle. A select phenotype of Mendocino Purps out of the Emerald Triangle around the turn of the 1990s. Dense purple flower in a closed canopy is where mould starts.
• Father: T-1000. Red Beard's selection out of CSI's Old Family Purple, and the first CSI Humboldt / CSI Portland collaboration. Given as a selection from Old Family Purple, which is Triangle Kush x Purple Urkle. Appreciates steady feeding rather than a boom-and-bust schedule.
• Why it is worth a pack rather than a look. The two sides are far enough apart that seedlings genuinely differ. That range is the product.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

The nose is where these two argue hardest.

• The Aroma. Sweet grape and dark berry over earthy skunk, myrcene-dominant from the Purple Urkle side, against juicy grape and sweet cream over pine and skunky diesel with musky earth beneath from the T-1000 side.
• The Taste. Dark fruit up front, musk and earth behind it up front, turning to cream and grape into pine and light diesel, earthy at the end through the exhale.
