• Mother: Monkey Business. Monkey Business - a hybrid its breeder has kept the pedigree of to themselves. Its parentage is deliberately undisclosed. The breeder gives it only as indica/sativa, and there is a persistent community habit of linking anything with monkey in the name to Gorilla Glue #4, which nothing supports. Worth saying plainly: it is not Grease Monkey either. That is a different plant by a different breeder - Exotic Genetix's GG#4 and Cookies and Cream cross - and the two get confused constantly.
• Father: Stardawg. Stardawg - Top Dawg's Chem 4 over Tres Dawg. Built from given as Chemdog 4 x Tres Dawg; Tres Dawg is Chem D backcrossed to Afghani #1 twice. Bred by JJ of Top Dawg Seeds out of the Bay Area - he is in the High Times Breeder Hall of Fame. Tres Dawg was nicknamed Violet 25, and the double backcross to Afghani is what made the line stable enough to breed from.
• The point of the pairing. Neither parent needed rescuing. Putting them together is about what sits between them, not about fixing either one.
