Take Sunset Sherbet, a Girl Scout Cookies and Pink Panties cross, and one of the plants that defined modern dessert weed, and put it over Kush Cleaner, the lemon-pine father behind most of the 707 catalogue. That is Sherbet Sunrise. Bred in the Emerald Triangle for the Emerald Triangle, which is a narrower brief than most breeders set themselves.
Sunset Sherbet sits on the seed side here, Kush Cleaner on the pollen side. If you have seen these two names paired the other way round, that is a different pack and not this one.
Genetic Lineage
- Mother: Sunset Sherbet. Girl Scout Cookies crossed to Pink Panties, and one of the definitive modern dessert plants. Parentage: Girl Scout Cookies x Pink Panties. Wants a stable room - around 70-78F and 40-50% humidity in bloom.
- Father: Kush Cleaner. 707's lemon-pine father, and the counterpart to their OG. Its own cross is given as SFV OG x Jack's Cleaner, selected by 707 out of the Longbottom Leaf line. The Jack's Cleaner aromatics carry and the SFV OG male supplies the power.
- The point of the pairing. Neither parent needed rescuing. Putting them together is about what sits between them, not about fixing either one.
Flavor and Aroma Profile
Expect the profile to move plant to plant rather than settle.
- The Aroma. Berry and tart citrus over creamy dough with a skunky edge and an earthy fuel base from the Sunset Sherbet side, against lemon and pine over kush earth, with the solvent edge the name points at from the Kush Cleaner side.
- The Taste. Berry and cream with a citrus lift up front, turning to citrus and pine, closing earthy through the exhale.
How the two sides differ
- Two different harvest dates. Eight to nine weeks, reported forty-nine to sixty-three days for Sunset Sherbet, eight to ten weeks, and outdoors it comes down around late October for Kush Cleaner. Judge each plant on trichomes rather than pulling the room together.
- The smell is a negotiation. Sweet berries and creamy dough with tart citrus, a skunky edge and a subtle earthy fuel undertone on one side against lemon-pine cleaner over earth and kush - the Jack's Cleaner side dominates the nose on the other. Neither wins outright in every seedling.
- Two frames in one pack. Sunset Sherbet is grows tall and thin with dense leaves; moderate, controllable stretch in early flower; round, tightly packed colas showing deep purple under cool nights; tight frosted buds with the classic Cookie structure. Kush Cleaner is medium bushes with broad dark fans and generous branching, stacking frosty lime-green colas. Decide which suits your room before you flip, because you get both.
- They pull differently. Growers put Sunset Sherbet at indica-leaning and settling and Kush Cleaner at it opens with a sativa lift and creative focus, then settles into the OG body; commonly mid-twenties for THC. Which end a plant lands on is the main variable.
Cultivation and Growth Traits
- Plant Structure. The two parents disagree here, so plan for range. Sunset Sherbet is grows tall and thin with dense leaves; moderate, controllable stretch in early flower; round, tightly packed colas showing deep purple under cool nights; tight frosted buds with the classic Cookie structure. Kush Cleaner is medium bushes with broad dark fans and generous branching, stacking frosty lime-green colas.
- Vegetative Phase and Training. Open the middle out early. Light reaching the lower sites is worth more than any late correction.
- Flowering Time. The parents are not on the same clock. Sunset Sherbet runs eight to nine weeks, reported forty-nine to sixty-three days, Kush Cleaner eight to ten weeks, and outdoors it comes down around late October. Judge each plant on trichomes rather than pulling the room together.
Effects and Experience
- The Mind. Growers describe Sunset Sherbet as indica-leaning and settling.
- The Body. Kush Cleaner is reported as it opens with a sativa lift and creative focus, then settles into the OG body; commonly mid-twenties for THC, and that is the side supplying the weight here.
