Sweet 16 is CSI's favourite selection out of a hundred and eighty Pinks N Purps plants. Between them they cover ground neither reaches alone. What CSI sell is access to their clone collection in seed form. The parents are the cuts themselves, not a line bred to resemble them.

The number in Forbidden Fruit x Sweet 16 is a specific plant, not a decoration. Humboldt CSI grow a population out, keep the individuals worth keeping and number them, so Forbidden Fruit x Sweet 16 is one identified selection rather than Forbidden Fruit x Sweet in general. A pack naming a different number is a different mother.

Order matters in a cross name. In Sweet Forbidden Fruit (Forbidden Fruit x Sweet 16) the Forbidden Fruit side supplied the seed and Sweet 16 the pollen, and the reciprocal - the same two plants the other way round - is a separate breeding decision with its own results.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

The nose is where these two argue hardest.

• The Aroma. Dark cherry and bright orange citrus from the Forbidden Fruit side, against candied fruit, described by growers as muscadine grape rock candy from the Sweet 16 side.
• The Taste. Cherry and citrus zest with a sweet finish up front, turning to grape candy holding right through through the exhale.

What each side brings

• Two different harvest dates. Nine to ten weeks indoors for Forbidden Fruit, around sixty days for Sweet 16. Judge each plant on trichomes rather than pulling the room together.
