Titan (TK x Caramel Tsunami) puts Triangle Kush over Caramel Tsunami. One is the Florida cut behind a great deal of the OG family; the other is Tsunami Seed Co's own line and the plant nearly their whole catalogue is built on. Two very different plants, and the point of the cross is what sits between them. Animal Tsunami is the constant across this catalogue. Knowing what it brings tells you most of what a Tsunami pack will do, and the mother tells you the rest.

Order matters in a cross name. In Titan (TK x Caramel Tsunami) the Triangle Kush side supplied the seed and Caramel Tsunami the pollen, and the reciprocal - the same two plants the other way round - is a separate breeding decision with its own results.

Genetic Lineage

• Mother: Triangle Kush. The Florida cut that sits at the root of the OG family and has fathered more of the modern index than almost anything else. Lighter on the pine and cleaner-fluid terpenes than its reputation suggests, which is why breeders pair it with louder cuts; Humboldt CSI's 5150 is their pick out of a large Triangle Kush S1 population.
• Father: Caramel Tsunami. Tsunami Seed Co's own line and the plant nearly their whole catalogue is built on. It traces back to Butterscotch Pie x Wedding Crasher. It is used as a male far more than it is sold, which is why it turns up on the father side of most Tsunami packs. Animal Tsunami came out of it crossed to Animal Cookies..
• What to expect across a pack. Two distinct parents means real variation in frame, finish and nose. Select early and take cuttings off anything you would want again.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

The two halves stack rather than blend, which is the whole reason to run it.

• The Aroma. Quiet for an OG - earth and a light pine backbone instead of anything sharp from the Triangle Kush side, against burnt sugar and cream over a soft fruit base from the Caramel Tsunami side.
• The Taste. OG-weighted pine and earth that cleans up towards the end up front, turning to caramel and vanilla, sweeter on the exhale than the nose suggests through the exhale.

What each side brings

• Timing splits the pack. One parent wants eight to nine weeks, reported sixty-three to seventy-seven days with most growers near seventy, the other eight to nine weeks. Expect the fast plants down well before the slow ones are ready.
• Where the nose comes from. One side gives classic OG earth and pine, noticeably restrained rather than loud; the other gives burnt sugar and cream over a soft fruit base. Plants landing in the middle are the keepers.
• Two frames in one pack. Triangle Kush is stocky and bushy at moderate indoor height, up to two metres outdoors; vegs vigorously and throws heavy foliage; takes trimming, defoliation and lollipopping well; dense bright green flower under heavy resin. Caramel Tsunami is solid, resin-heavy flower on a vigorous plant that puts on size fast. Decide which suits your room before you flip, because you get both.
• They pull differently. Growers put Triangle Kush at the potent, focused end of the OG family and Caramel Tsunami at relaxed and weighted without being flattening. Which end a plant lands on is the main variable.

Cultivation and Growth Traits

• Plant Structure. The two parents disagree here, so plan for range. Triangle Kush is leafy and vigorous, filling a tent quickly and taking hard training in return for dense greasy flower. Caramel Tsunami is solid, resin-heavy flower on a vigorous plant that puts on size fast.
• Before the flip. Decide the shape now. These lines do not tidy themselves up once they are running.
