Triangle Kush x GrandDaddy Purple is Triangle Kush crossed to Granddaddy Purple. Triangle Kush is the Florida clone often credited with giving OG Kush its origin, named for the triangle of Jacksonville, Miami and Tampa. Granddaddy Purple is the other California purple benchmark. Between them they cover ground neither reaches alone. Every parent CSI use is a cut they keep alive themselves, so nothing in this pack is a reconstruction of a famous name.

Order matters in a cross name. In Triangle Kush x GrandDaddy Purple the Triangle Kush side supplied the seed and Granddaddy Purple the pollen, and the reciprocal - the same two plants the other way round - is a separate breeding decision with its own results.

• Mother: Triangle Kush. The Florida clone often credited with giving OG Kush its origin, named for the triangle of Jacksonville, Miami and Tampa. Lighter on the pine and cleaner-fluid terpenes than its reputation suggests, which is why breeders pair it with louder cuts; Humboldt CSI's 5150 is their pick out of a large Triangle Kush S1 population.
• Father: Granddaddy Purple. The other California purple benchmark. That one comes from contested - its breeder gives Mendo Purps, Skunk and Afghan, while many sources give Purple Urkle x Big Bud. The lineage argument is the interesting part: the breeder's own account gives Mendo Purps, Skunk and Afghan, while most third-party listings give Purple Urkle crossed to Big Bud. Those are different plants and no source reconciles them.
• The point of the pairing. Neither parent needed rescuing. Putting them together is about what sits between them, not about fixing either one.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

Neither parent is subtle, and the cross has nowhere quiet to go.

• The Aroma. Quiet for an OG - earth and a light pine backbone instead of anything sharp from the Triangle Kush side, against grape and berry over earth from the Granddaddy Purple side.
• The Taste. Earthy pine with OG weight behind it, cleaner at the finish than at the start up front, turning to sweet grape with a berry finish through the exhale.

The two halves, side by side

• They are not on the same clock. Triangle Kush runs eight to nine weeks, reported sixty-three to seventy-seven days with most growers near seventy; Granddaddy Purple runs around eight weeks. Across a pack that gap shows up as plants finishing days or weeks apart.
• The smell is a negotiation. Classic og earth and pine, noticeably restrained rather than loud on one side against sweet, fruity and floral over an earthy base on the other. Neither wins outright in every seedling.
• Structure varies hard here. Stocky and bushy at moderate indoor height, up to two metres outdoors; vegs vigorously and throws heavy foliage; takes trimming, defoliation and lollipopping well; dense bright green flower under heavy resin from one parent; indica-built, heavy colour from the other. Plan the canopy for the taller outcome.
• Opposite ends. Triangle Kush is reported as the potent, focused end of the OG family; Granddaddy Purple as settled and heavy. The cross sits somewhere between and moves plant to plant.

Cultivation and Growth Traits

• Plant Structure. The two parents disagree here, so plan for range. Triangle Kush is stocky and bushy at moderate indoor height, up to two metres outdoors; vegs vigorously and throws heavy foliage; takes trimming, defoliation and lollipopping well; dense bright green flower under heavy resin. Granddaddy Purple is dense and heavily coloured, indica in build.
• Vegetative Phase and Stretch. Shape the plant before the flip. Correcting a frame in week six is harder work than setting it in week two.
