Take Triangle Kush, the Florida clone a lot of people credit with starting the OG line, named for the Jacksonville-Miami-Tampa triangle, and put it over Lemon Tree, Lemon Skunk over Sour Diesel, selected out of a large hunt in the Santa Cruz mountains. That is Triangle Kush x Lemon tree. CSI breed off held clones rather than off seed stock, which is why the parents named on the pack are the actual plants and not their descendants.

Written this way, Triangle Kush is the mother and Lemon Tree the pollen donor. Reversing a cross is not a formality; which plant carries the seed shapes what comes out of the pack.

Genetic Lineage

Flavor and Aroma Profile

Neither parent is subtle, and the cross has nowhere quiet to go.

• The Aroma. OG earth and pine, held back rather than shouted from the Triangle Kush side, against bright citrus with diesel weight holding it down from the Lemon Tree side.
• The Taste. Earthy pine with weight, finishing clean up front, turning to zesty and sour turning heavier and more diesel-driven through the exhale.

Where the parents disagree

• Two different harvest dates. Eight to nine weeks, reported sixty-three to seventy-seven days with most growers near seventy for Triangle Kush, eight to ten weeks for Lemon Tree. Judge each plant on trichomes rather than pulling the room together.
• Two noses, one pack. Triangle Kush contributes classic OG earth and pine, noticeably restrained rather than loud. Lemon Tree contributes sharp lemon and citrus over a fuel base. Which dominates is the main thing that varies.
• Structure varies hard here. Stocky and bushy at moderate indoor height, up to two metres outdoors; vegs vigorously and throws heavy foliage; takes trimming, defoliation and lollipopping well; dense bright green flower under heavy resin from one parent; medium height, around ninety to a hundred centimetres indoors from the other. Plan the canopy for the taller outcome.
• Opposite ends. Triangle Kush is reported as the potent, focused end of the OG family; Lemon Tree as bright and uplifting rather than heavy. The cross sits somewhere between and moves plant to plant.

Cultivation and Growth Traits

• Plant Structure. The two parents disagree here, so plan for range. Triangle Kush is a busy, leafy plant that vegs hard and wants working on - defoliate it, lollipop it, and it rewards the effort with dense resinous flower. Lemon Tree is medium height, around ninety to a hundred centimetres indoors.
• Before the flip. Decide the shape now. These lines do not tidy themselves up once they are running.
