It came out of a White Widow seed run around 1999 to 2000 by a grower known on the early forums as Lonestar, who kept one standout plant out of the population and named it. Buying the Sharon cut means buying that one plant rather than White Widow in general - every clone of it is the same individual, and a White Widow grown from seed will not be it.
