Turbo Diesel (sour Diesel x Chem91 is Sour Diesel crossed to Chem 91. Sour Diesel is the East Coast benchmark for aggressive chemical fuel. Chem 91 is the SKVA cut - the original Chemdog '91 and the clone the family takes its name from. Between them they cover ground neither reaches alone. Every parent CSI use is a cut they keep alive themselves, so nothing in this pack is a reconstruction of a famous name.

Written this way, Sour Diesel is the mother and Chem 91 the pollen donor. Reversing a cross is not a formality; which plant carries the seed shapes what comes out of the pack.

Genetic Lineage

• Mother: Sour Diesel. The East Coast benchmark for aggressive chemical fuel. Built from most likely Chemdog 91 crossed to a Super Skunk in 1990s New York.
• Father: Chem 91. The SKVA cut, the original Chemdog '91 and the clone the whole Chem family is named after. Built from one of thirteen seeds from a bag bought at a Grateful Dead show in 1991. Skunk VA was given a cut in 1995 and has held it since, which is why the line survives.
• Why these two. They are not variations on the same idea. They pull in different directions, and that spread is what makes a pack worth hunting through rather than just growing.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

The two halves stack rather than blend, which is the whole reason to run it.

• The Aroma. Aggressively chemical and pungent with greasy resin from the Sour Diesel side, against pungent turned earth and diesel with pine and citrus behind it from the Chem 91 side.
• The Taste. Solvent and sour, greasy up front, turning to greasy and mouth-coating, fuel then earth and pine, finishing sour through the exhale.

How the two sides differ

• Two different harvest dates. Ten to eleven weeks, with faster plants nearer sixty-seven days for Sour Diesel, sixty-three to seventy days for Chem 91. Judge each plant on trichomes rather than pulling the room together.
• Where the nose comes from. One side gives aggressively chemical and pungent with greasy resin; the other gives pungent turned earth and diesel with pine and citrus behind it. Plants landing in the middle are the keepers.
• Structure varies hard here. Tall and lanky with wide internodal spacing, heavy early stretch, rated moderately challenging from one parent; loose and open rather than compact, moderate to heavy stretch, branches that soften under weight late from the other. Plan the canopy for the taller outcome.
• Opposite ends. Sour Diesel is reported as head-forward and energetic; Chem 91 as alert and head-forward, sativa-leaning rather than heavy. The cross sits somewhere between and moves plant to plant.

Cultivation and Growth Traits

• Plant Structure. The two parents disagree here, so plan for range. Sour Diesel is tall and lanky with wide internodal spacing, heavy early stretch, rated moderately challenging. Chem 91 is open and loose rather than tight, stretching moderately to heavily, with branches that soften under weight late in flower.
• Vegetative Phase. Top or train before you flip rather than chasing the canopy afterwards.
• Flowering Time. The parents are not on the same clock. Sour Diesel runs ten to eleven weeks, with faster plants nearer sixty-seven days, Chem 91 sixty-three to seventy days. Judge each plant on trichomes rather than pulling the room together.
