Reek Havoc (Chem D x Runtz) crosses Chem D to Runtz, the Chem family's workhorse and the cut most breeders reach for first against the candy plant the whole modern sweet-flavour category was built on. Neither is a filler parent, which is why this pairing is worth a pack rather than a look. CSI breed off held clones rather than off seed stock, which is why the parents named on the pack are the actual plants and not their descendants.

Chem D sits on the seed side here, Runtz on the pollen side. If you have seen these two names paired the other way round, that is a different pack and not this one.

Genetic Lineage

  • Mother: Chem D. The workhorse of the Chem family and the cut breeders reach for most. It traces back to another phenotype from the same 1991 seed lot. It is the Chem half of Giesel, and one of the most widely used Chem cuts in American breeding.
  • Father: Runtz. Zkittlez crossed to Gelato #33, and the plant that defined the modern candy category. Its own cross is Zkittlez x Gelato #33. Rated intermediate and sensitive to humidity swings and temperature stress - keep the room steady.
  • Why it is worth a pack rather than a look. The two sides are far enough apart that seedlings genuinely differ. That range is the product.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

Expect the profile to move plant to plant rather than settle.

  • The Aroma. Chemical fuel over dark turned earth from the Chem D side, against sugary fruit and sour berry over creamy vanilla, closing on a peppery gas note from the Runtz side.
  • The Taste. Fuel and earth, greasy and coating, finishing sour up front, turning to sweet berry and cream with a whisper of fuel through the exhale.

The two halves, side by side

  • What to budget. The documented side, Runtz, runs eight to nine weeks, with fast plants at fifty-five to sixty days. Set the room to that and let the plants correct you.
  • Two noses, one pack. Chem D contributes chemical fuel over dark turned earth. Runtz contributes sugary fruit and sour berry over creamy vanilla, closing on a peppery gas note. Which dominates is the main thing that varies.
  • Two frames in one pack. Chem D is open and loose rather than compact, wants support once the colas load. Runtz is manageable medium height with sturdy lateral branching; dense buds under a serious frost, deep greens and purples. Decide which suits your room before you flip, because you get both.
  • Opposite ends. Chem D is reported as alert and head-forward rather than heavy; Runtz as balanced and even. The cross sits somewhere between and moves plant to plant.

Cultivation and Growth Traits

  • Plant Structure. The two parents disagree here, so plan for range. Chem D is open and loose rather than compact, wants support once the colas load. Runtz is a manageable plant with strong laterals, carrying dense flower that frosts hard and colours green through purple.
  • Before the flip. Decide the shape now. These lines do not tidy themselves up once they are running.
  • Flowering Time. Runtz runs eight to nine weeks, with fast plants at fifty-five to sixty days. Start checking trichomes a week before you expect to be ready.

Effects and Experience

  • The Mind. Growers describe Chem D as alert and head-forward rather than heavy.
  • The Body. Runtz is reported as balanced and even, and that is the side supplying the weight here.

In the pack

7 feminized seeds per pack. Feminized seeds from Humboldt CSI. The point of their catalogue is access - cuts that otherwise only move between growers who already know each other, put into a form you can actually buy. Authentic Humboldt CSI genetics. 21+.
