There are two very different things inside Hash Face (Strawnana x Meat Breath). Strawnana: Strawberry Banana, the Crockett cross that became a standard fruit-forward parent. And Meat Breath: Meat Breath - the strain that made savoury a selling point. That is the Thug Pug method - one proven father, applied again and again, so the question on any pack is what the mother did with him.

Order matters in a cross name. In Hash Face (Strawnana x Meat Breath) the Strawnana side supplied the seed and Meat Breath the pollen, and the reciprocal - the same two plants the other way round - is a separate breeding decision with its own results.

Genetic Lineage

• Mother: Strawnana. Strawberry Banana, the Crockett cross that became a standard fruit-forward parent. Built from Banana Kush x the Strawberry Bubblegum F1 selection.
• Father: Meat Breath. Thug Pug's savoury flagship. Its own cross is given as Meatloaf crossed to the Mendo Breath F2 male, Studly Spewright. Mendo Breath behind it is OGKB crossed to Mendo Montage, so the mutant Cookies line runs right through this. The other parent, Meatloaf, is genuinely obscure - some accounts call it a Girl Scout Cookies phenotype with an unusual savoury nose, but that has never been confirmed and should not be stated as fact. Meat Breath and Thug Pug's other OGKB crosses started travelling in 2015.
• Why it is worth a pack rather than a look. The two sides are far enough apart that seedlings genuinely differ. That range is the product.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

Two profiles that stay distinguishable rather than collapsing into one.

• The Aroma. Ripe strawberry over sweet banana from the Strawnana side, against savoury and pungent - garlic and roasted notes against sharp chemical diesel, with earth, musk and a sweet vanilla-caramel undertone from the Mendo Breath side from the Meat Breath side.
• The Taste. Creamy fruit, sweeter than it smells up front, turning to earth, nut and spice with diesel behind it through the exhale.

Where the parents disagree

• What to budget. The documented side, Strawnana, runs eight to nine weeks. Set the room to that and let the plants correct you.
• Where the nose comes from. One side gives ripe strawberry over sweet banana; the other gives savoury and pungent - garlic and roasted notes against sharp chemical diesel, with earth, musk and a sweet vanilla-caramel undertone from the Mendo Breath side. Plants landing in the middle are the keepers.
• Build. On the Strawnana side: chunky, resin-slick flower that fattens hard in the last fortnight. On the Meat Breath side: dense purple-tinged flower under a wet, greasy frost. Select early rather than trying to train your way out of it.
• Opposite ends. Strawnana is reported as even and relaxed rather than heavy; Meat Breath as heavy; caryophyllene leads its terpene profile. The cross sits somewhere between and moves plant to plant.

• Flowering Time. The parents are not on the same clock. Strawnana runs eight to nine weeks, Meat Breath eight to nine weeks. Judge each plant on trichomes rather than pulling the room together.
