Lemon Drop v2 (Lemon Party x Lemon tree) puts Lemon Party over Lemon Tree. One is CSI's own lemon cut, which they identify as a Lemon Tree selection; the other is a Santa Cruz cross of Lemon Skunk and Sour Diesel, and the benchmark most lemon lines answer to. Two very different plants, and the point of the cross is what sits between them. Both parents here are cuts CSI keep in their own room. That is the whole difference between this and a seed line named after the same strains.

Written this way, Lemon Party is the mother and Lemon Tree the pollen donor. Reversing a cross is not a formality; which plant carries the seed shapes what comes out of the pack.

Genetic Lineage

• Mother: Lemon Party. CSI's own lemon cut, which they identify as a Lemon Tree selection. Its own cross is a cut of Lemon Tree.
• Father: Lemon Tree. Lemon Skunk crossed to Sour Diesel, made in the early 2000s around Santa Cruz out of a large phenotype hunt. That one comes from Lemon Skunk x Sour Diesel.
• The point of the pairing. Neither parent needed rescuing. Putting them together is about what sits between them, not about fixing either one.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

Two distinct smells, and a pack will give you both plus everything between.

• The Aroma. Sharp zesty lemon and sugary citrus - closer to candied lemon than fresh from the Lemon Party side, against sharp lemon and citrus over a fuel base from the Lemon Tree side.
• The Taste. Bright lemon with a sour citrus bite, turning earthier up front, turning to zesty and sour turning heavier and more diesel-driven through the exhale.

Where the parents disagree

• Timing splits the pack. One parent wants around sixty-five days, reported sixty to seventy, the other eight to ten weeks. Expect the fast plants down well before the slow ones are ready.
• Where the nose comes from. One side gives sharp zesty lemon and sugary citrus, described as overpowering candied lemon and super pungent; the other gives sharp lemon and citrus over a fuel base. Plants landing in the middle are the keepers.
• Build. On the Lemon Party side: medium height, indoors or outdoors; flowers heavily coated in trichomes with vibrant orange pistils. On the Lemon Tree side: medium height, around ninety to a hundred centimetres indoors. Select early rather than trying to train your way out of it.
• They pull differently. Growers put Lemon Party at bright and lifting rather than heavy and Lemon Tree at bright and uplifting rather than heavy. Which end a plant lands on is the main variable.

Cultivation and Growth Traits

• Plant Structure. The two parents disagree here, so plan for range. Lemon Party is mid-sized indoors or out, frosting over completely with orange pistils through it. Lemon Tree is medium height, around ninety to a hundred centimetres indoors.
• Veg and stretch. Set the frame while it is cheap to do. Anything you fix after the flip costs you flower sites.
• Flowering Time. The parents are not on the same clock. Lemon Party runs around sixty-five days, reported sixty to seventy, Lemon Tree eight to ten weeks. Judge each plant on trichomes rather than pulling the room together.

• The Body. Lemon Tree is reported as bright and uplifting rather than heavy, and that is the side supplying the weight here.
