Lemon Party x Irene brings Lemon Party together with Irene Kush. The first is CSI's own lemon cut, which they identify as a Lemon Tree selection; the second, also called Irene OG, a sour-scented hybrid out of the American Deep South kept almost entirely for its terpenes. Two lines that were never going to produce a quiet plant. Humboldt CSI work almost entirely from clones they hold themselves, so both sides of this are the real thing rather than a seed-line approximation of it.

Written this way, Lemon Party is the mother and Irene Kush the pollen donor. Reversing a cross is not a formality; which plant carries the seed shapes what comes out of the pack.

Genetic Lineage

• Mother: Lemon Party. A Lemon Tree pick CSI keep in house, and one of the loudest citrus plants anyone runs. It traces back to a cut of Lemon Tree.
• Father: Irene Kush. Also called Irene OG - a sour-scented hybrid out of the American Deep South. Its own cross is traced to an unknown Emerald Triangle plant crossed to Hindu Kush, and widely taken to descend from California OG Kush. CSI recommend a nutrient-rich organic soil with good micronutrient content to bring the terpenes out; it is among the hardest clones they have reversed.
• What the cross is reaching for. One side brings the structure and the other brings the nose. The plants worth keeping out of a pack are the ones that hold both rather than picking a side.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

Expect the profile to move plant to plant rather than settle.

• The Aroma. Sharp zesty lemon and sugary citrus, described as overpowering candied lemon and super pungent from the Lemon Party side, against sour and penetrating from the Irene Kush side.
• The Taste. Bright lemon with a sour citrus bite, turning earthier up front, turning to sour with a kush base through the exhale.

How the two sides differ

• What to budget. The documented side, Lemon Party, runs around sixty-five days, reported sixty to seventy. Set the room to that and let the plants correct you.
• Two noses, one pack. Lemon Party contributes sharp zesty lemon and sugary citrus, described as overpowering candied lemon and super pungent. Irene Kush contributes sweet, earthy and floral with rich earth and pine, plus a distinct diesel note that most OG cuts do not have. Which dominates is the main thing that varies.
• Build. On the Lemon Party side: medium height, indoors or outdoors; flowers heavily coated in trichomes with vibrant orange pistils. On the Irene Kush side: resilient with a sturdy frame rather than delicate. Select early rather than trying to train your way out of it.
• Opposite ends. Lemon Party is reported as bright and lifting rather than heavy; Irene Kush as the potent, focused end of the OG family; settling. The cross sits somewhere between and moves plant to plant.
