Mazard (Headband x Chemdog 91 Bx3) is Loompa's Headband crossed to Chemdog Bx3. Loompa's Headband is the Loompa Farms selection, also called Underdawg OG. Chemdog Bx3 is the Chemdog Bx3 stud, Skunk VA's own. Between them they cover ground neither reaches alone. A line built on preservation rather than novelty, which is why the same clone keeps appearing on one side of the cross.

91 identifies the Headband x Chemdog used here. Numbered cuts come out of a population that was grown and sorted, and the number rides with the plant that was kept. Two crosses that both say Headband x Chemdog are only the same cross if the number matches too.

Written this way, Loompa's Headband is the mother and Chemdog Bx3 the pollen donor. Reversing a cross is not a formality; which plant carries the seed shapes what comes out of the pack.

Genetic Lineage

• Mother: Loompa's Headband. The Loompa Farms selection, also called Underdawg OG. It traces back to OG Kush x Sour Diesel, roughly sixty-forty indica.
• Father: Chemdog Bx3. The father behind most of the Lucky Dog catalogue. Built from a backcross of Chemdog 91 - the cut Skunk VA has held since 1995 - worked back into itself three times. Backcrossing is what you do when you want more of one parent rather than a blend.
• How to read it. Everything below splits into what one parent gives and what the other does. Plants that take from both are the ones to keep.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

Two distinct smells, and a pack will give you both plus everything between.

• The Aroma. Earth, pine and citrus with a little fuel under it, and a spiced lemon-diesel thread running the length of it from the Loompa's Headband side, against diesel and sour earth, concentrated rather than diluted by the backcrossing from the Chemdog Bx3 side.
• The Taste. Lemon and diesel turning to dank kush and earthy herbs with a spiced finish up front, turning to greasy and mouth-coating, fuel then earth, sour at the finish through the exhale.

What each side brings

• Two noses, one pack. Loompa's Headband contributes rich earth with pine and citrus over a hint of fuel, and a spicy lemony diesel note across all of it. Chemdog Bx3 contributes the Chem 91 nose concentrated rather than diluted: turned earth and diesel with pine and citrus behind it. Which dominates is the main thing that varies.
• Structure varies hard here. Indica-leaning, at the more manageable end of the og family from one parent; Chem-family structure, open and stretchy, and it wants support late from the other. Plan the canopy for the taller outcome.
• Opposite ends. Loompa's Headband is reported as focused; real indica weight; Chemdog Bx3 as alert and head-forward rather than sedating, as the Chem 91 line runs. The cross sits somewhere between and moves plant to plant.

Cultivation and Growth Traits

• Plant Structure. The two parents disagree here, so plan for range. Loompa's Headband is indica-leaning, at the more manageable end of the OG family. Chemdog Bx3 is the open, stretchy Chem frame, and it will need propping once the colas fill.
• Vegetative Phase. Top or train before you flip rather than chasing the canopy afterwards.
