Sweet Little Lies (swwet 16 x Northern Lites 5) is Sweet 16 crossed to Northern Lights #5. Sweet 16 is CSI's favourite selection out of a hundred and eighty Pinks N Purps plants. Northern Lights #5 is the plant most of the indoor era was quietly built on. Between them they cover ground neither reaches alone. What CSI sell is access to their clone collection in seed form. The parents are the cuts themselves, not a line bred to resemble them.

The number in swwet 16 is a specific plant, not a decoration. Humboldt CSI grow a population out, keep the individuals worth keeping and number them, so swwet 16 is one identified selection rather than swwet in general. A pack naming a different number is a different mother. 5 identifies the x Northern Lites used here. Numbered cuts come out of a population that was grown and sorted, and the number rides with the plant that was kept. Two crosses that both say x Northern Lites are only the same cross if the number matches too.

Order matters in a cross name. In Sweet Little Lies (swwet 16 x Northern Lites 5) the Sweet 16 side supplied the seed and Northern Lights #5 the pollen, and the reciprocal - the same two plants the other way round - is a separate breeding decision with its own results.
