Sweet Pink Stink (Bubblegum x Purple Urkle) is Indiana Bubblegum crossed to Purple Urkle. Indiana Bubblegum is a genuine 1990s survivor out of Indiana and still the reference for what sweet is supposed to smell like. Purple Urkle is a select phenotype of Mendocino Purps out of the Emerald Triangle around the turn of the 1990s. Between them they cover ground neither reaches alone. Both parents here are cuts CSI keep in their own room. That is the whole difference between this and a seed line named after the same strains.

Indiana Bubblegum sits on the seed side here, Purple Urkle on the pollen side. If you have seen these two names paired the other way round, that is a different pack and not this one.

Genetic Lineage

Flavor and Aroma Profile

Two distinct smells, and a pack will give you both plus everything between.

• The Aroma. Confectionery through and through - bubblegum and taffy with berry and a trace of hash from the Indiana Bubblegum side, against sweet grape and dark berry over earthy skunk, myrcene-dominant from the Purple Urkle side.
• The Taste. Cotton candy and ripe berry with a creamy finish up front, turning to dark fruit up front, musk and earth behind it through the exhale.

Where the parents disagree

• Two different harvest dates. Seven to eight weeks, some reporting sixty to sixty-five days for Indiana Bubblegum, around eight weeks indoors, inside a seven to nine week window for Purple Urkle. Judge each plant on trichomes rather than pulling the room together.
• Where the nose comes from. One side gives pink bubblegum first, then cotton candy, strawberry taffy and vanilla cream, with ripe berry and a faint hash note; the other gives sweet grape and dark berry over earthy skunk, myrcene-dominant. Plants landing in the middle are the keepers.
• Build. On the Indiana Bubblegum side: medium-tall on a slender, sparse frame; roughly doubles in height after the flip; heavy trichome coverage on dense buds. On the Purple Urkle side: compact and indica-built; deep purple colour hardest where night temperatures drop late. Select early rather than trying to train your way out of it.
• They pull differently. Growers put Indiana Bubblegum at softer and more relaxed and Purple Urkle at settled and unhurried; the heavy, physical end. Which end a plant lands on is the main variable.

Cultivation and Growth Traits

Indiana Bubblegum is medium-tall on a slender, sparse frame; roughly doubles in height after the flip; heavy trichome coverage on dense buds. Purple Urkle is compact and indica-built; deep purple colour hardest where night temperatures drop late.
• Veg and stretch. Set the frame while it is cheap to do. Anything you fix after the flip costs you flower sites.
• Flowering Time. The parents are not on the same clock. Indiana Bubblegum runs seven to eight weeks, some reporting sixty to sixty-five days, Purple Urkle around eight weeks indoors, inside a seven to nine week window. Judge each plant on trichomes rather than pulling the room together.
