There are two very different things inside Tanker (Sour Diesel x Pakistani Purple Kush). Sour Diesel, the East Coast benchmark for aggressive chemical fuel. And Purple Hindu Kush, a fast, deeply coloured indica out of the Hindu Kush line. Every parent CSI use is a cut they keep alive themselves, so nothing in this pack is a reconstruction of a famous name.

Order matters in a cross name. In Tanker (Sour Diesel x Pakistani Purple Kush) the Sour Diesel side supplied the seed and Purple Hindu Kush the pollen, and the reciprocal - the same two plants the other way round - is a separate breeding decision with its own results.

Genetic Lineage

• Mother: Sour Diesel. The East Coast benchmark for aggressive chemical fuel. It traces back to most likely Chemdog 91 crossed to a Super Skunk in 1990s New York.
• Father: Purple Hindu Kush. A fast, deeply coloured indica out of the Hindu Kush line. Parentage: Hindu Kush x Purple Afghani.
• The point of the pairing. Neither parent needed rescuing. Putting them together is about what sits between them, not about fixing either one.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

The two halves stack rather than blend, which is the whole reason to run it.

• The Aroma. Aggressively chemical and pungent with greasy resin from the Sour Diesel side, against earthy, piney and spicy with strong grape and berry over a pungent base from the Purple Hindu Kush side.
• The Taste. Solvent and sour, greasy up front, turning to earthy grape closing hashy through the exhale.

The two halves, side by side

• They are not on the same clock. Sour Diesel runs ten to eleven weeks, with faster plants nearer sixty-seven days; Purple Hindu Kush runs seven to eight weeks. Across a pack that gap shows up as plants finishing days or weeks apart.
• Two noses, one pack. Sour Diesel contributes aggressively chemical and pungent with greasy resin. Purple Hindu Kush contributes earthy, piney and spicy with strong grape and berry over a pungent base. Which dominates is the main thing that varies.
• Structure varies hard here. Tall and lanky with wide internodal spacing, heavy early stretch, rated moderately challenging from one parent; dense resinous buds in deep purple with bright orange pistils under a thick trichome coat; colour develops as temperatures drop in flower from the other. Plan the canopy for the taller outcome.
• They pull differently. Growers put Sour Diesel at head-forward and energetic and Purple Hindu Kush at indica and settling. Which end a plant lands on is the main variable.

Cultivation and Growth Traits

• Plant Structure. The two parents disagree here, so plan for range. Sour Diesel is tall and lanky with wide internodal spacing, heavy early stretch, rated moderately challenging. Purple Hindu Kush is short and broad, a mountain-indica shape that colours hard.
• Vegetative Phase and Stretch. Shape the plant before the flip. Correcting a frame in week six is harder work than setting it in week two.
• Flowering Time. The parents are not on the same clock. Sour Diesel runs ten to eleven weeks, with faster plants nearer sixty-seven days, Purple Hindu Kush seven to eight weeks. Judge each plant on trichomes rather than pulling the room together.

Effects and Experience

• The Mind. Growers describe Sour Diesel as head-forward and energetic.
• The Body. Purple Hindu Kush is reported as indica and settling, and that is the side supplying the weight here.
