And Bubba Kush, the West Coast indica benchmark, a Los Angeles clone from the mid-1990s named after the grower who kept it. Every parent CSI use is a cut they keep alive themselves, so nothing in this pack is a reconstruction of a famous name.

Written this way, Zkittlez is the mother and Bubba Kush the pollen donor. Reversing a cross is not a formality; which plant carries the seed shapes what comes out of the pack.

Genetic Lineage

• Mother: Zkittlez. Grape Ape crossed to Grapefruit, and the modern benchmark for candy terpenes. Its own cross is Grape Ape x Grapefruit.
• Father: Bubba Kush. The West Coast indica benchmark, a Los Angeles clone from the mid-1990s named after the grower who kept it. Dense colas need airflow; the Pre-98 cut is the shorter, broader-leafed, heavier expression.
• Why these two. They are not variations on the same idea. They pull in different directions, and that spread is what makes a pack worth hunting through rather than just growing.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

The two halves stack rather than blend, which is the whole reason to run it.

• The Aroma. A sharp tropical medley of sweet citrus candy and sour berries with a soft herbal undertone from the Zkittlez side, against roasted coffee, dark cocoa and old-school hash with a woody edge from the Bubba Kush side.
• The Taste. Tropical candy and berry up front, turning to spiced earth and coffee bean, finishing hashy and thick through the exhale.

What each side brings

• Timing. Zkittlez runs eight to nine weeks indoors, reported elsewhere at nine to ten, and that is the half of this cross you can actually plan around.
• The smell is a negotiation. A sharp tropical medley of sweet citrus candy and sour berries with a soft herbal undertone on one side against roasted coffee, dark cocoa and old-school hash with a woody edge on the other. Neither wins outright in every seedling.
• Structure varies hard here. Compact with tight internodes and thick fan leaves; glassy buds under a wet-looking frost from one parent; short to medium and stocky, broad deep-green leaves, tight internodes, modest 1.2 to 1.5 times stretch; golf-ball to cola-sized buds with thick calyces and heavy resin, forest green through to plum from the other. Plan the canopy for the taller outcome.
• Opposite ends. Zkittlez is reported as even and settled; indica-leaning; Bubba Kush as gentle and unhurried, warm and loosening, body-forward. The cross sits somewhere between and moves plant to plant.

Cultivation and Growth Traits

• Plant Structure. The two parents disagree here, so plan for range. Zkittlez is medium and bushy, easy enough to manage. Bubba Kush is short to medium, thickset, with broad deep-green leaves and tight internodes; it stretches only about half again in flower and stacks golf-ball to cola-sized buds with thick calyces, heavy resin and colour running forest green into plum.
• Training. Worth the effort early - it is the difference between an even canopy and three colas and a lot of leaf.
• Flowering Time. Zkittlez runs eight to nine weeks indoors, reported elsewhere at nine to ten. Start checking trichomes a week before you expect to be ready.
